Terms of Service

Last updated 2026-09-11

Sunprint lets a host create a film for an event, lets guests shoot into it, and reveals everything together at a time the host sets. Your photos stay yours. Only upload what you have the right to share. Purchases go through the App Store and follow Apple’s refund rules.

1. Who you are agreeing with

These terms are a contract between you and Fernix LLC (“we”, “us”). By creating a film, joining one with a code, or using the Sunprint app, App Clip or website, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use Sunprint.

2. The service

A host creates a film: a title, an event window, a reveal time and a guest capacity. Guests join with the film’s code, QR code or link and capture photos, videos and voice notes during the event window. Captures are sealed until the reveal time, then shown to everyone in the film as a shared album. Each guest has a fixed number of shots per film.

We may change or discontinue features. If we discontinue Sunprint entirely, we will give hosts reasonable notice and a way to download their albums first.

3. Accounts

Hosts sign in with Apple. You are responsible for what happens under your account. Guests do not need an account; a device token ties their phone to a film. Do not share a film code with people the host has not invited.

4. Your content

You keep every right to the photos, videos and voice notes you upload. To run the service we need a limited licence from you: to store, copy, resize, and show your content to the host and guests of that film, and to let them download it where the host allows. That licence exists only to operate Sunprint and ends when the content is deleted, except for copies in routine backups, which expire on their own.

We do not use your content for advertising, do not sell it, and do not use it to train machine-learning models.

5. What you promise about your content

  • You have the right to upload it — including the consent of the people in it where the law requires consent to photograph or share them.
  • It is not unlawful, harassing, hateful, sexually explicit involving minors, or infringing.
  • It does not contain malware or attempts to break the service.

Hosts control their film: they can remove any guest’s upload, turn downloads off, and delete the film. We can also remove content or suspend accounts that break these terms, and we will cooperate with lawful requests from authorities.

6. Purchases

A film with more than the free number of guests requires a capacity purchase. Purchases are made through Apple’s App Store as one-time, consumable products, and are handled by Apple under its terms. Prices are shown in the app before you buy. Refunds are requested from Apple, not from us; Apple decides them under its own policy. A purchase applies to one film. Capacity is granted only for a purchase we can verify.

7. How long the album lasts

An album stays live for 12 months from the event date and can be downloaded at any time during that period. After that it is archived, not deleted: guests lose access, and the host can ask us to restore it. Deleting a host account deletes all of that host’s films and every upload in them, permanently and immediately. Our Privacy Policy describes this in detail.

8. Acceptable use

Do not try to access other people’s films, bypass shot limits or capacity, scrape the service, reverse-engineer it, or use it to send spam. We rate-limit and may block abusive traffic.

9. Ending things

You can stop using Sunprint at any time; hosts can delete their account from Settings. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms or if the law requires it. Sections 4, 5, 10, 11 and 12 survive termination.

10. Disclaimers

Sunprint is provided “as is” and “as available”. We work hard to keep your photos safe, but we cannot promise the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that every upload will succeed on every network. Keep your own copies of anything irreplaceable. To the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim all warranties, express or implied.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Fernix LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost data, profits or goodwill, arising from your use of Sunprint. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or USD 50 if you paid nothing. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits; in that case they apply to the extent permitted.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States of America and the state in which Fernix LLC is organised, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you are a consumer in a country whose law gives you protections that cannot be waived, those protections still apply.

13. Changes

We may update these terms. For material changes we will update the date above and tell hosts in the app. Using Sunprint after a change means you accept the new terms.
